I find it a privilege and honor to have the opportunity to support people in becoming a better version of themselves! My work as a therapist focuses on treating every client as a human being. I take pride in being an active listener, effective communicator, honest, and empathetic as I work with clients to encourage and motivate positive change in their lives.
I am a Louisville, Kentucky native. I began my journey at Spalding University, gaining a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I continued at Spalding University, receiving my Master of Social Work, and later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where I began my career as a School-Based Mental Health Therapist and Certified Bereavement Specialist. It is my belief that no one treatment modality “fits all” instead, you must meet each client where they are currently.
I have experience using various modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Strengths-Based and Solution-Based Therapy, as well as classic Talk Therapy. Throughout my career in social work, I have worked with juvenile offenders, middle and high school students, foster children, as well as patients and their caregivers facing a terminal diagnosis. I have worked in the school setting, demonstrating my passion and dedication for children, families, and education. These experiences have allowed me to gain vast knowledge working with all individuals, from children to senior adults. My work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and my overwhelming ability to build strong relationships with all I encounter shines through in my work.
When I am not supporting others, I practice self-care by listening to music of all genres, spending time with my two adult children, traveling, and shopping.
