& healing with groups
"Groups have immense power to move people in creative and more life-giving directions. Most people
have some history of having been psychologically wounded in relationships, and groups provide the ideal atmosphere for healing."
(Corey, Corey, & Corey, 2010)

For a number of reasons, group therapy is considered to be a highly effective setting to experience therapy, whether it be due to its relational nature that builds interpersonal support and camaraderie, its capacity to connect people through shared experiences thereby decreasing loneliness, its structured and short-term approach, or its cost effectiveness compared to individual therapy sessions. TICC recognizes also the power in uniting group participants in navigating their journey of post-traumatic healing and growth.
